ARCO: Remy and Haley ((There's a Storm Coming))

Riding the Storm (ACRO #1)

by Sydney Croft

A storm’s rage. A woman’s desire.

A man with the power to set them both free.

He can summon lightning at will. Emerge unscathed from the center of a tornado. Strip a woman down to her barest defenses through the sheer force of his sexuality. He’s gorgeous, dangerous, and the target of parameteorologist Haley Holmes’s latest mission. Haley has been dispatched to the Louisiana bayous to investigate the phenomenon known as Remy Begnaud–a man with a gift he never wanted: the ability to control a storm’s fury. But even a woman trained in bizarre weather phenomena has no defense against the electrifying power of the ex—Navy SEAL...a power his enemies would kill to control.

With her agency monitoring their every move, Haley’s job is to seduce Remy, gain his trust–and help him harness his extraordinary gift. But who will protect her from this voracious lover who’s introducing her to a new world of erotic thrills—a man who grows increasingly insatiable with each new weather event? Haley knows a big storm is approaching—and with it will come unexpected delights. But so, too, will the storm unleash her greatest fears: an enemy bent on destroying Remy. And her worst fear of all—falling in love with this magnificent man, then having to betray him.

Tonnere m'ecrase si j'sus pas apres dire la verite

 ACRO Operative: Remy Begnaud

Occupation: Ex-Navy SEAL

Operational Status: classified

Skill: Seems to have a tie to the weather – can control storms to some extent while appearing to be controlled by them. Potential for worldwide destruction if urges are not contained and if subject cannot be taught to control said urges. Potential for kidnapping by hostile agencies is too high to be disregarded – subject must be brought in immediately to ACRO’s fold.

I have to say that when I first opened the pages and Red Riding the Storm I was convinced that this was the best book ever! (It still is) I just kept thinking the next can't possible top this one... And so I feel in love with T-Remy...  His passion and his fury combined with his sexual swagger is a thing that breathes Alpha Male... There is just no other way to put it... Remy Begnaud is simply just all man and the fact that he's Navy Seal... Hmmm I wonder if Stephanie wrote him? Damit and I didn't ask her.....

ACRO Operative: Haley Holmes

Occupation: ACRO parameteorologist.

Background: Former Air Force meteorologist. Worked as a meteorologist investigating unusual weather phenomenon for private weather companies after leaving military. Parents deceased. No siblings. Self-described workaholic.

Operational Status: Non-field operative.

Haley is sent out to seduce and help Remy with his unique gift, but neither of them is prepared for the Storm that is brewing between the two.. Sparks fly and the rain comes tumbling down in this steamy book..

There is the element of of danger and desire all rolled into one... Of course the greatest thing about this story is that there are minisodes going on between the pages between different characters that we meet along the way. Riding the Storm is wonderfully pieced together in a beautiful art form of Chaos. Lust. Love, Deceit, Mysticism, and old superstitions and lets not forget the Paranormal aspect to the story... I wouldn't say it was 007 Agent action but I would definitely say Xmen to the 10th power!

Excerpt:

At the top, she found herself a few feet from Remy. As the lighting flashed and thunder threatened to rupture her eardrums, she noted his expression, one etched in misery. Pain.

She dragged her gaze down to where his right arm worked furiously--and then she sucked in a breath of rain-saturated air with such force she nearly choked. His expression, dear Lord, his expression--not one of pain. One of pleasure.

His long fingers pumped up and down around the jutting length of his cock. Rain dripped into her eyes, and she blinked. Maybe the water was playing tricks on her vision. But no. Remy was braced against the tree, which sheltered him only slightly from the raging wind and rain, seemingly unconcerned that standing beneath a tree was the worst place in the world--short of a golf course or lake--to be during a thunderstorm.

She knew it was stupid to remain out there. She knew what she risked. She knew she should't be watching.

But neither could she look away.

Each violent stroke of his fist cause her pulse to strum deep in her belly. Every time his palm cupped the head of his penis, heat worked its way lower in her body.  And when he threw his head back and shouted at the storm, she felt her vaginal muscles clench and weep.

:( oh I missed the first day of your ARCO week...
I love the excerpts of all the books, but unfortunately I hadn't had the chance (or the money *sigh*) to read them yet, but they are on my wishlist for quite a time... a friend of mine is really enthusiasitic about the series and tells me again and again how fantastic they are...

Okay Tigris...here is my ARCO Operative.... (Mind you he looks like Chris Pine who played Captain Kirk from Star Trek)??? okay got a visual? Because I don't know how to post a picture here.... Hope you like him..... :D

Name: Gideon Sterling
Occupation: Physical & Mental Trainer
Skills: Being one of the newest to the group his skills are not completely known or understood yet... But he will makes a great trainer because of the fact that he has the ability anticipate someone?s moves before they ever think about making them (even before they know that they are thinking about making them). His main goal is to train how to fight, but at the same time teach how to shield ones thoughts while fighting? In case they ever run across someone like him or an individual that can read minds?

I have some - not all - of the ACRO books. WANTS. I've already read an extract of this one and paired with the info above, it drives me slightly crazy that I haven't got the lot. As of yet. *Coughs.*

Will be messaging you, Tigris. Need to clarify some deets over my end... ;)
