ARCO Day 6 Trance and Rik & Interview

Posted on December 16, 2010 at 10:33 PM

Let me introduce you to the world of BDSM and Sounds.... Yeah its all that and then some... Look up that word by the way Sound if you don't know what it is.... There is a very very erotic part in this book that just makes you say WHOA! Are you guys still with me?  Have I made you drool enough and want ARCO with a serious passion?  I hope so that is my goal of course to bring in some new blood and rev up the old blood.... *Grins* Yeah ya'll know what I'm talking about... Okay so today is going to be a quickie... There is so much going on this book.. There is Anni and Creed... New Comer Gabe and then of course Dev who's dealing with lost but may have just found love... There is Ryan the super secret operative that is deep in the trenches of Itor...

Then of course there is our main characters story Trance and Rik... We also get to visit with some of the characters from previous books, which is one of the reasons I adore the series we get to see how everyone is doing from time to time.  So first lets meet the major players and then I will put some minor but still major players in the mix as well... Spicy Spicy.....

ACRO Operative: Trance

Real Name: Classified.

Background: Ex-Army / MP at Leavenworth. Received all Special Forces training.

Skill: Excedo. Super strength, better than average ability to heal wounds / self / plus better than average eyesight. Has the ability to hypnotize humans by just having them look into his eyes, although for long term hypnosis, the suggestions must be planted deeper in order for hypnosis to remain once eye contact is broken. Is so powerful that even those resistant to hypnosis are affected on some level. It is unknown if his skill works on animals.

Notes: Trance was a Dom for many years. Although he never allowed himself to form a close relationship with any single submissive he worked with, he was still the perfect choice to try to tame the beast that lives inside Ulrika Jaeger. Trance has no idea that his father was also an ACRO operative killed on a mission. Info was kept from Trance in order to prevent agent from seeking revenge.

Potential ACRO Operative: Ulrika Jaeger

Skill: Shapeshifter. Only known human who can shift into another physical form, which, according to reports, is a wolf-like creature.

History: Born to peaceful therianthropes in a mountainous region of Germany, Ulrika lived with her family until Itor captured their entire clan. After years of experimentation, all but Ulrika died. Itor considered her to be a success.

Recruitment priority: Highest. Her lack of control makes her extremely dangerous. Her suspected involvement in the murders of ACRO agents, government and military officials, and high-ranking terrorists has made her a target for several official agencies and terrorist organizations.

Now for some other players... Let me introduce you to Creed and Annika

ACRO Operative: Creed McCabe

Skill: Spirit whisperer / Medium

Operational Status: Fully operational

Notes: Adopted son of ACRO Ghost Hunters Dave and Martha McCabe. Found abandoned in a cave supposedly haunted by the Bell Witch in Tennessee. Born with tattoos covering the entire right side of body, head to toe. Since birth, had been followed by a spirit named Quaty, who is believed to be a direct descendant of the Bell Witch.

ACRO Operative: Annika Svenson

Background: Born to Swedish parents. Kidnapped at the age of two by the CIA. Mother was murdered. Father unknown, whereabouts unknown. Was raised by CIA couple posing as her parents. Goal: To turn Annika into the world’s most effective assassin.

Goal successful.

At age 16, Annika learned the truth about her past and turned on the CIA, killing nearly everyone who was involved with her abduction. Captured later by ACRO.

Skill: Electricity. Can power up so no living thing can touch her, or she can electrocute at a touch. An expert with all weapons and fighting techniques.

Rik and Trance's story is a very interesting one Trance can pretty much hypnotize folks except of course not Ulirka he goes to a Sex Club to meet the very mysterious Mistress Rik... So that in essence he can tame the beast and bring her over to ARCO... She was captured by Itor and experimented on and lets just say she can't control the beast unless she does through means of release.  So Trances becomes her Sub to her Dom... And the world just goes teeter totter from there... OMG there is just so much going on I don't even know where to begin... But I will give you a little something to tide you over till you read the fabulous books! YAY

Snippet:

Holding her gaze, he leaned forward, bracing himself against her shoe, which must have been painful, but he didn't even flinch. Instead, he opened his mouth over the sole of her offered foot. His toungue flicked over the sensitive skin there in her arch, circling, licking, mimicking something much more intimate.

Sensation flooded her, and she threw her head back, let him suck her toes, nibble her arch, lick her heel... God, he was good. Moisture flooded her sex, and damn, she could come from this.

It was that good.

"Suck my toe now," she murmured. "Suck it the way you like your cock sucked."

Sydney Croft Questions:

Tigris: How did the two of you meet?

Steph: We met through a mutual online friend in an online loop/crit group sometime in 2003/4.

Larissa: What she said.

Tigris:Why the name Sydney Croft?

Steph: Larissa gets all the credit for this one – we wanted a really fun name – something we’d want to be known as and that mixed adventure with a paranormal element. So she decided on the combination of Sydney Bristow (from Alias) and Lara Croft (from the video game).

Tigris: Will we see more collaborations as Sydney Croft besides the ACRO Series?

Steph: We have plans to continue Sydney in the future – we just have too much fun writing together not to. For us, it’s a matter of finding mutual time off – Sydney only works if we’re doing the writing at the same time, even if we’ve got to do it in a short period of time.

Tigris: Is the next ACRO Book the Last? Or will we get slices in upcoming Anthologies?

Larissa: Ooh, this is a tough one. To be honest, we’re not sure. We would love to do some more ACRO stories, but we really wrap things up in Taken By Fire, so anything we do would probably be in short-story form and maybe independent of the main ACRO arcs. That’s not to say that we won’t do more ACRO stories – just that we’re not contracted right now, and we need to think on where we want to go.

Tigris: How do you decide who writes what? (Is there a mixture male/female characters?)

Steph: Typically, Larissa writes the heroines and Steph writes the heroes – and then we’ll mix up the other characters. *Steph did in fact write the gorgeous Remy!*

Larissa: Yup, what Steph said. We do mix it up with some of the minor characters – for example, Ryan was mine, and Meg was hers. We share others, like Dev, but for the most part, she’s the male POV and I’m the female. Typically, we just trade the manuscript back and forth. I’ll write a scene in my character’s POV and shoot it to her, and her character reacts to whatever mine has done, and vice versa. It’s so fun that way, because we generally don’t talk it out ahead of time, which means that each scene is a complete surprise to us, and our characters have to react – just like in real life.

Tigris: What Book did the two of you have the most issues with? Why?

Steph: Tempting the Fire for sure. Because of scheduling, we weren’t writing together, and it took us longer to finish that book than any other. The book eventually came together, but it seemed to take forever to write and revise.

Larissa: She’s stating it mildly. Because we really wanted to jump off a bridge together while writing that book…

Tigris: Epic Battle of all time (Could be anything from Star Wars vs Star Trek):

Larissa: Oh, man…okay, you brought Star Trek into it, and now that’s where my head is. I’m a huge Trekkie (I don’t do that Trekker thing,) so epic battles? I’m all about Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Oh, yes, I’d been waiting for that one since Kirk dumped Khan off on Ceti Alpha Five. As an aside, Steph probably has no idea what I’m talking about…

Steph: I liked the new Star Trek movie when Spock was with that chick. That’s the closet Star Trek encounter I’ve had. Star Wars – LOVE! And yes, I realize I’m not answering the question…I tend to do that. A lot.

Larissa: She does. She’s the queen of evasion. I also want to beat her for not watching more Star Trek.

Larissa Ione Question:

Tigris:Lords of Deliverance how is the series coming along for you? Any chance we can get a small tantalizing taste of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse?

Larissa: The series is coming along nicely! I just turned in book 2, and will start on book 3 in the next couple of weeks. It’s so weird to be on book 3 when book 1 hasn’t even hit the shelves! It’s kind of frustrating because I really want to talk about what’s going on in book 2 and 3, but anything I say would be spoilers for book 1.

*you all have already read the Juicy Juicy of ARES/JEFF *Melts*

Stephanie Tyler Question:

Tigris: Shadow Force can you tell us a little bit about the men of this series? What can we expect? Can we get a taste of one of the men of Shadow Force?

Steph: Right now, I’m writing Kell’s book – Night Moves - which is Shadow Force Book 4, and then after that I’m hoping to be able to write Reid’s book and then…I have a few heroes vying for the next position. With the series, I get to have a lot of subplots and I get to revisit lots of characters from the earlier books in the later books. Readers ask me all the time if certain characters who didn’t have their HEA will appear again – all I can say is, of course – that’s why I write romance. I have a plan for all the couples – never fear!

*And we all met us some Caleb *Fans Self*

Potential ACRO Operative/Threat: Kryme Cekra.

Occupation: Mercenary and Artist; Illustrator.

Background: Mother murdered unnaturally at the age of twelve; suspected execution at the hands of Itor. Endured emotional abuse from father before an unexplained absence between ages 13-15. Reappeared and subjected to an attempt of physical violence that failed. Demonstrated psychic echoes, training and inhuman strength. Recorded disappearance for another year, annihilating the initiation of ACRO?s original mission. Linked to Itor assassinations since re-surface.

Skills: Metal bonding, combined with a mental encryption possessed as well as wielded on other beings ACRO scientists have yet to explain. Ability to extract, utilize and distort information from minds ? possible psychic elements involved. More than human in strength. May be capable of invisibility or the crossing of realms. Possible powers and weaknesses under investigation.

Mission Priority: Urgent. ACRO psychics have determined if Itor acquires Ms. Cekra, subject will provide untold advantages impossible to deflect at this time. In regards to abilities, intel hints that Itor may be as in the dark as ACRO. Information subject possesses is to be extracted at all costs whilst remaining out of Itor?s hands permanently.

Notes: Aware of ACRO and Itor training. Motivation for Itor assassinations is unknown, although appears to be emotionally seated. Obtains marks on skin that disperse but leave a lasting brand after intel notes the assassination of numerous Itor members. Others collected remain unlinked presently. No contact with remaining family; an only child. Suspected to have contacts that know of both organisations. Appears to harbour a nurtured hate of the male gender not applicable to animals. Creates sensual and dark drawings/painting in various art forms. Trusts no one.

Sounds like the whole writing process is fun. Sorry to hear there may not be more ACRO books, but at least you're willing to consider another series together! And of course, so much to read of each of you independently!
This has been a fun week - looking forward to one more day!

I have enjoyed the posts. When you asked how they came up with the name Lara Croft popped into my head. But Sydney had me guessing which is funny since I loved Alias.
Thanks for the great posts!

Huh, did not know that about how they gained their name. That is really really awesome.

Oddly, it sounds like the two role play the story into creation. Ugh, I definitely gotta get these books. I have the anthology.
