Tigris:Please tell us a bit about your self.
Larissa: First, I just want to thank you for having me! And as for me…well, I’m a mom, a military wife, and an author. I write both contemporary romance and paranormal romance under my own name, and I also write erotic paranormal romance under the name Sydney Croft, with author Stephanie Tyler.
Tigris: How do you and Stephanie create together? Is there a plan or road map you use in order to come up with the ACRO Novels?
Lairssa: We do have a general roadmap, but mainly, we just write. She usually writes the scenes in the male point-of-view, and I write the females. There are some exceptions, but that’s generally how it goes. We just pass the book back and forth, though we do a little writing out of order, too. But mainly that’s just Steph!
Tigris: How many pets do you have and what are their names?
Larissa: I’m a huge animal lover, and I wish I could have a dozen furbabies, but right now we only have one cat. Her name is Vegas, and she’s a stray we picked up at our last duty station. Her owners, our neighbors, moved and left her behind. There was no way I was leaving her to starve, so she’s ours now.
Tigris:Favorite Sci-Fi Movie? Horror?
Larrisa: I really love Independence Day and Aliens for sci-fi (outside of Star Trek. I’m a huge Trekker, so really, those movies are my favorites). Horror? I’d say my favorite is Poltergeist. I watch all of those movies over and over. I’m such a dork.
Tigris: Will you write more Demonica Books after Lore's?
Larissa: I just turned in the fifth Demonica novel, which will release six months after Lore’s book. I’m still not sure if that will be the end or not, but I’m definitely working on a spinoff series.
Tigris:Who would you say is the hottest of the Brothers from the Demonica Novels? Why?
Larissa:Ooh, that’s a tough one, because I think they are all hot in their own ways. So I’m going to cop out and say that I can’t really pick just one! ![]()
Tigris:Do you listen to music when your write? If so who?
Larissa:Nope. I prefer silence, or maybe TV.
Tigris:What's in your TBR pile?
Larissa:Too many books to name! But I’ve got the newest releases from Gena Showalter, JR Ward, Keri Arthur, Robert Jordan, Jordan Summers, Rhonda Leah…I could go on and on…
Tigris:Are you working on any new ideas for future books?
Larissa: Yep! I just turned in a proposal for the Demonica spinoff, and I’m also brainstorming an idea for a paranormal novella I just sold.
Tigris: If we followed you for a day, what would your schedule look like?
Larissa: Boring as hell! I get up at 6:30, get kid ready for school, get him off for the day at 7:45, and then I sit down to work until my son and husband come home at around 3:30. Seriously, it’s not very exciting at all. I take breaks to play with the uber-demanding cat, and maybe to watch General Hospital, but that’s it! See…boring!
Tigris: Favorite Childhood Memory?
Larissa: My eleventh birthday, when my parents led a horse up the driveway as my present. That was awesome.
Tigris:Alpha Male or Sensitive Male? Why?
Larrisa: Alpha. Totally. See, my dad is more of a beta type, and I love him to death. I really do. And my first husband was just like him (they say you marry your dad…;) and it didn’t work. At all. I need someone who can stand up to me and make decisions. I need the fire that my personality demands. I got that with my second husband, and we’ve been married for 11 years now.
Tigris: What character did you enjoy writing the most?
Larissa: Wraith. I adore that demon. I had almost as much fun writing Sin, who’ll you’ll meet in Ecstasy Unveiled (Feb)
Tigris: Vampires-Weres-or Zombies?
Larissa: Vampires. Been loving them since Salem’s Lot.
Tigris: Favorite Holiday?
Larissa: Christmas all the way!
Tigris:What are some of your favorite charitable organizations?
Larissa: The ASPCA, HSUS, Farm Sanctuary, and the Salvation Army. I give to all of them multiple times a year.
Tigris: Any advice for aspiring writers?
Larissa: Read the how-to books. Learn the rules. And then toss the books and the rules. I know that sounds contradictory, but I love rule-breaking…the problem is that you’ve got to know what they are in order to learn to break them effectively. So learn how to write, and then put your own spin on it!
Tigris: Lost or Heroes?
Larissa: I was a Lost girl for a long time, but they “lost” me last season. It just got too complicated!
Tigris: Thanks so much for stopping by, I enjoyed getting to know a little more about you!
Larrisa: Thanks again for having me, Tigris! It was fun!

I love your books Larissa and can't wait for Lore's book to come out. A spin off series - now you have me wondering....what can it be?

Hi Larissa!
I'd not had a chance to read any of your work until this past June when I picked up Passion Unleashed at a Meijer's in Michigan (like a 24 hr. WalMart chain but only in MI). I came (from Toronto) with a friend who was having "routine surgery" which quickly turned into a life & death nightmare for her. (After several months she has since had a full recovery thank God!) The hospital had sent me "home" to try to get some rest but I was alone in the hotel, scared to death about my friend's health, couldn't sleep so drove up to the 24 hr Meijer's where I discovered Haagen Daaz Banana Split ice cream (only $2.99 US and, in Canada, not only is that flavour unavailable for some insane reason it also costs $7.99 Cdn. for a container of Haagen Daaz!!), but I digress, most importantly I found the last copy on the shelf of PASSION UNLEASHED. Went back to the hotel and stayed up reading the whole book (and all of the ice cream.) The story took my mind off everything and allowed me to escape and refocus by entering a totally different world although there were hospitals and life & death scenes as well : ) Anyway, when I got back to Canada, found the last copy of Desire Unchained on Chapter's shelf, kept looking for Eidolon's Pleasure Unbound and it was always sold out, too, so I've finally wised up and ordered it. I can't wait for January for Ecstasy Unveiled and am looking forward to reading the Sydney Croft novels. The salesclerk in Chapters said to me one day in a loud voice with a thick British accent in a packed store, "Oh you like the ones with the hot sex, don't you? So do I." I'm kind of shy and her voice booms so it was kind of a cringeworthy moment for me but I said, "No, I don't just like the ones with the hot sex, I like the ones that tell a good story and have believable characters." Which is why you've become one of my favourite authors and I have a pretty limited list of them. Thank you for letting me drone on. I love all kinds of books, not just the romance genre, and I've always thought of books as my friends, as corny as that sounds. Thank you for giving me more friends and good luck with your new proposal for the spin off series.
