Thanks Destiny for taking the time to answer some questions!  Make sure you leave a comment along with your email address because the author has something special to send all who leave a comment with their email address from 12:01pm EST to 4:01pm EST

Tigris:. What was your favorite hero and heroine you enjoyed writing?

Destiny: That’s such a hard question to answer but since I’m working on the Winning Virgin books, let’s talk about my ‘boys’. I enjoy writing about the Sabbat men. Gabriel and Darian are vampire thugs, rogues in every sense of the term and just plain fun to write. I included a few covers to give you a better idea of these good looking creatures.

Tigris: . How did you come up with your characters?

Destiny: It depends on the story. Sometimes the character will have a little bit of someone I know embedded in their personality.

Tigris:  Alpha Male or Beta Male

Destiny: Alpha

Tigris:. What is your favorite genre to read?

Destiny: Are you kidding? It’s impossible to pick one!

Tigris:  If you could be a superhero who would it be and why?

Destiny:Spiderman—because I could weave in and out of buildings. Just think, Spiderman probably bumps into vamps like Gabriel and Darian from time to time!

Tigris:. How would you describe the perfect man?

Destiny:This is where I’m supposed to say, “Oh but I married the perfect man.” Truth is, Luke McGregor, my hero in Inevitable Surrender is pretty darn close.

Tigris:. If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be, why, what

would you be doing?

Destiny: Paradise Island in the Bahamas, assuming it’s warm there. I’d probably have a fruity drink in hand while standing next to a craps table.

Tigris: What are you working on now?

Destiny:I’m working on the Winning Virgin books.

Tigris: What can we expect to see down the road?

Destiny: You’ll see a lot from me toward the end of 2010 and 2011 based on the manuscripts I have coming soon. As for what to expect? It’s a surprise but hopefully you’ll like what I have in store!

Tigris:  Thanks again Destiny for the awesome interview

Destiny: Thank you for the interview! Readers: Post a question between 12:01 EST and 4:01 PM EST today along with an email address and I’ll send a free e-book surprise to readers with questions.

Tigris: Thank you for allowing us to blog over here today. We should get together again soon. I appreciate you!

That's all from me tonight, guys and gals. The teenagers are coming in now so it's time to curl up with a movie and cup of hot chocolate.

For anyone who posted today: If you haven't received a free e-book yet, drop an e-mail my way with TIGRIS in the subject line and I'll send you a backlist title from one of my alter-ego pen names. You have until midnight tonight EST to post and claim. Remember, post first and say hello to TIGRIS. Let her know what you love about her blog. Then, send your email to destinyblaine@yahoo.com with TIGRIS in the subject line. You'll receive your e-book tomorrow. :)

I'm signing off tonight with an excerpt from Inevitable Surrender, a western contemporary available now at Shadowfire Press:

http://www.shadowfirepress.com/excerpts_2010/BMNV_Inevitable_Surr
ender_db_excerpt.html

A soldier knows when to wave a white flag and yell surrender. He may hide behind the wind-ripping thin cloth and pray he doesn?t have to face further conflict, but he understands his purpose, his sole reason for marching forward with a tight grip latched around a thin pole and a pale sheet waving high above his head. He?s there to call a truce but he doesn?t approach the enemy without significant knowledge. He realizes he?s the weaker party on the battlefield, but that understanding hardly empowers him.

Luke McGregor wasn?t a soldier. And he damn sure wasn?t ready to turn tail and run, at least not yet. Temptation existed and he had a right mind to take out the distraction in his path, or at least contain her.

He eyed the petite blue-eyed hellion he didn?t expect to see in Bo?s Bar and Grill. Sure enough she still looked good enough to tie to his bed and drip berry juice down her middle. Marcy Killian was as pretty as you please and every bit as sexy as he remembered her. God help him. His *$@*& found new life the second he saw her.
Down boy, he thought, watching her approach.

?Hey Luke,? Marcy drawled, trying to push by him in order to make her way through the layers of people.

?Marcy,? he grated out. Every damn time he bumped into the vixen, he felt the same. His chest tightened, his heart stopped beating and what the hell? Yeah, he mused, swiping at his forehead. He was sweating bullets.

Thanks again for spending time with us today!

Hey there Brande,

Thanks so much for dropping by. Just Another Paranormal Monday members and moderators are excited to join you at Book Junkies in March--woot! ;))

Let's see, if I could be any heroine? Hmm...well I've always had a thing for gamblers so I'd probably say Audra in Lying Eyes. Take at the snippet below and you'll see why:

Copyright ©2009 Excerpt:

The reporters and camera crews stood on alert. Prior to the last break, they?d all been catnapping around the room but now, everyone paid attention with more interest than anyone had possessed in the past few hours.

?Careful, Max.? Stan chuckled when he saw the flop. ?No reason to show your balls and lose your ass after you?ve come this far.?

Audra wished she?d paid closer attention to whatever move he made to draw a comment from Stan because whatever he meant to do, he swiftly changed his mind with a check.

Two tens and a Jack on the flop. She looked again to make sure. Yes, two tens and a Jack. She raised again and criticized her reasoning then. If she had been heads-up with anyone else, she would?ve gone all-in, right then.

?Audra?? he questioned. ?Only five more??

?That?s million?? she teased. ?Five million.?

Max winked. ?I see that. What I want to know is why you didn?t give me your best shot? I?ve got you pictured in a full house.?

?Do you now?? She leaned over, realizing it might be the last of their fun and games if he called her.

?I do.?

?Then call me. Maybe you?ll see.?

?Oh, I?m counting on that full house, baby.?

The crowd loved it and everyone standing around laughed on cue.

?Not going to call??

He studied her for a long time. Damn. He made everything so complicated.

?Oh, I?m callin? and you can count on lovin? me for it.?

He tossed in his chips and a two of Hearts didn?t help either player on the turn, or so it would appear. He checked and she thought about it. Spectators seemed to grant her a much-needed moment of silence.

?Now what?? He sat back, removed his sunglasses and stuck them in his shirt pocket.

?I hate to do it.? She winked.

He winked back. ?It?s tough saying good-bye, isn?t it sweetheart??

?Got pocket tens??

?Pay me and I?ll show you.?

Audra couldn?t resist. ?Yeah, from what I hear, you pay a hefty price to teach the women in your life valuable lessons.?

His eyes flickered with the sudden knowledge someone ratted him out. ?Play nice.? He mouthed the words more than said them.

?Max, it?s been real?interesting.?

The cameras zoomed in for a close-up shot of the man and woman of the hour. Stan stood before Audra, understanding it was time for the showdown everyone anticipated.

If knees ever buckled, now wouldn?t surprise her because of the shaking she couldn?t control. It was now?or maybe never again?but she felt it in her gut. She wasn?t going home. She didn?t have him pegged for tens and something in his face told her that he wasn?t sure if he had her or not. One of them was headed out and it was time to find out which one.

Her grip on the table loosened and her hands moved eloquently over her chips. ?I?m all-in.? She walked away and he stood. He didn?t budge and those who watched eagerly waited. Max?s fans knew it wasn?t a good sign. His lips parted. ?I?ve enjoyed you more than I ever expected.?

?I hope so,? Audra chimed.

?Flip ?em over.?

Audra sported her Jack-ten and with the two tens and Jack on the board, her full house looked promising.

Max had deuces and it was then she realized the insignificant turn card might cost her the tournament if the dealer pulled a two on the river. She was hoping he had something like any other low pair to ensure she was a winner regardless of the fifth and final card. He didn?t look displeased at all, which she found rather ironic.

A crowd pleaser, Max walked over to the onlookers and stood close to his fan-base. She spotted Franco nearby and started to walk over to stand with him but she couldn?t move and truthfully, if anything, she?d love to stand with Max?only right now, it probably wasn?t a real good idea.

?Ladies and gentleman,? the announcer began, ?it doesn?t get any better than this??

Hi Faith,

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I love your insight on alpha males. Now, here's the real question: Which of your books found here: http://faithbicknellbrown.com/books/ include your favorite alpha males? By the way, I have two e-books headed your way because you're one of our winners today!

Hugs!
Destiny

Daniel in Conspiracy of Angels and then Wesley in The Red Storm.

Daniel goes through hell to prove to Lizzie he's never given up on her. In The Red Storm, Wesley is a Delph hunter who isn't part of Jordanne's ship crew, so he doesn't have to obey her orders; therefore, things really heat up between them.

That's SUPER on the e-books! Woot!

It's under 60 and overcast, so I consider it chilly! lol! Meanwhile family and friends back east are buried under snow...
The link you supplied in your comment for my site shows 3 coming soon books. It's a new series of mine about a feline familiar who fancies himself a matchmaker. =)
Mmm...the search for hot craps dealers. Now that'd make a nice field trip for my writing group! They've been wanting to go on another one ever since we went to Thunder from Down Under. Now talk about hot guys! *fanning self*

Chilly in Vegas? Surely not. Oh my goodness! Then you must rush inside quickly and find a crowded craps table where the dice are hot and the dealers working the table are even hotter! ;))

Everyone, make sure you check out C.R. here: http://home.earthlink.net/~cr_moss/id43.html and if you're still around, C.R. please let us know what is coming soon for you! Thanks for dropping by today!

A girl after my own heart! The tropics would be a great place to be right now since it's chilly and overcast here in Vegas.
Nice interview!

Veronica--I'm not sure. All of the Sports Wives will most likely go into print at some point. There may be a minimum word count requirement which is generally met by combining a few stories for print volumes when short stories or novellas are involved.

I like alpha males too, Destiny, but they can't be too alpha or then thye come across as bossy--at least to me, they do. I think it's a balance of tenderness and alpha that makes a hero a great one.

Glad to know you liked Damaged Goods. The first two are in print and can be located here: http://www.sirenpublishing.com/destinyblaine. More Lying Eyes on the way later today! ;)

Also, for those of you posting--I'll give away two e-books from the Sports Wives series to the next two people who comment right here.
