This story pulled on my heart strings in a way I never thought possible.  The book opens up with the Jackson  and his best friend Ryan walking into a club and spotting Kylie. Who Jackson immediately knows he's going to marry.  

Then we flash forward seven years to the happy coupld that is Kylie and Jackson along with their daugther Abby heading towards Jackson's parents for holiday dinner. Their life could only be described as perfect. Everyone dotes on Abby and Kylie and Jackson's relationship its unbreakable. 

*Kinda makes you wonder if they ever argued? 

In a sudden tragic accident Jackson is taken from Kylie, leaving her and Abbey in al ife without him. She's not sure at first how she's going to manage with him as Jackson was her world.  I cried for her like I was so emotionally invested in the story that one minute I was reading and the next minute I was all tears. Ecker really pulled on my heart strings with this one. 

We then fast forward to when Abby is almost two and life is still not that put together for Kylie but somehow she's taking it one step at a time. When she moves into this old plantation house and while cleaning her attic finds a ouija board. And one lonely night decides to play with the board. Kylie doesn't really believe that she has contacted anyone from the other side but soon strange things start happening. 

I wanted the ghost to be Jackson and even though I had read the blurb in the back I was so engrossed in the story that I just knew it was Jackson... Coming to her in the middle of the night and doing wicked things to her body.  

Then the ghost becomes a little crazy! Yeah crazy and its not Jackson! but a soul stealing succubus! YIKES! 

Hot ass Ryan LaCroix steps in and Kylie and him embark on a rollercoaster rides filled with ups and downs. Hot moments that make you say Get it Geit it. LOLOL  The releationship aspect of Kylie and Ryan are so true and so real, beucase shit like this really does happen. Regardless if its a happy ending or not.  We all hear the stories or know someone that has either lost a loved one and moved on with the bestfriend. 

Sounds Jerry Springerish right? Well this is not that story... Its beautiful an endearing. There were a couple of holes in the story but for the most part the emotinal aspect did it for me. 

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who truly wants to take a ride. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a smooth ride and Melissa makes sure you get the full effect.
